On 24th November 2019, in Visakhapatnam India, an “Art Bazaar” was organized by Mr. Kattakuri Ravi at R. K. Beach. The purpose of this event was to provide a platform for artists to present their work while getting to meet their fellow companions and sharing their views.
Ms.Sravani Dhulipalaof our community took part in the event and has presented her work. When asked about her interest in taking part in this event, Ms. Sravaniinformed us, “There were many reasons. Except for the most obvious ones, firstly, I wanted to meet other artists in Vizag because I hardly know anyone.
Secondly, I love to attend normal art expos which are open to the general public. Unfortunately, most of the art expos in Vizag are confined to a class of people who can buy themselves into the event. I dislike the extravagance and prefer these instead.”
Adding to it, Ms. Sravanialso stated, “On a personal level, I wanted to find a companion with whom I could talk about art even after this event.”
With more than ninety members presenting their paintings in this open event,Ms. Sravani mentioned, “I want to thank my friend Swetha for letting me know about the event. I would also like to thank all my well-wishers who took the time to visit the expo especially the children. They made my day and I felt so gratified noticing their excitement towards art. I’m always happy to see a little one inspired to do art!”
Hoping that more artists get to be welcomed and encouraged in the years to come, we one behalf of the our team, we would like to thank Mr. Kattakuri Ravi and all the volunteers for organizing such a wonderful event!

Hello readers, On 8th November 2019, in Freiburg Germany, an “International Cultural Evening: Leave the Bubble, Come Together” took place in “Humboldtsaal”. The purpose of this event was to bring people from different cultures together and share their art-forms.
Organized once every year, this event usually comprises of thirty or more artists from across ten or more countries. In 2019, from our community, Mr. Vaidurya Pratap Sahi & Mrs. Shruti Kishore Sahitook part in it and have read two poems.
When asked about their interest in taking part in this event, the couple informed us, “It was necessary for us to talk about convergence in society along with the message of Gandhi about not fearing to dissent.”
Adding to their choices of poems, the couple even mentioned, “‘The Maulsari Tree’ narrates how modernization has changed everything around a tree located in a village while the tree just remains unchanged and is willing to serve those who sought it. On the other hand, the poem about ‘Gandhi’ talks as to how people shouldn’t bend to powers held by powerful institutions if they aren’t doing the right thing.”
With musicians, singers, poets, and narrators, these events have brought many artists and art lovers under one roof for years now. Hoping that more artists are welcomed and encouraged in the years to come, we one behalf of the our team would like to thank the organizer - Monika Hermann.
